  • Tobacco use: smoking or the more tobacco is used, for a longer period of time, the higher is the chance to get cancer
  • Alcohol: frequent and heavy consumption alcohol is a risk factors for head and neck cancer
  • Age: 40 or older
  • Lowered immunity: such as AIDS will increase the risk of getting cancer
  • Diet: low in fruits and vegetable
  • Gender: men are two times more to get NPC than women
  • Environment: extensive exposure to dust and smoke may increase the risk factor of NPC
